Beat the Heat

Greetings! It has been almost three long years, and here I am again. In this time, much has changed; however, I believe that change is a natural part of life, and we must remain steadfast and enjoy the journey. Long story short, from this day forward, I will continue to share my thoughts, opinions, and more every weekend. Today, I will share with you five tips to beat the heat. Remember to stay safe, and healthy, and above all, stay happy!

Drink Plenty of Water

To beat the summer, you have to stay hydrated. Drinking water helps to maintain the amount of fluid in your body, which is lost easily in the form of sweat. So, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and fresh. Also, you can try Coconut Water, Fruit Juice, Seasonal Fruit, etc.

Take Cool Shower

It's summertime, so please don't skip your shower. If you are not suffering from a cold, then try to take a shower twice a day. This will not only help keep you clean and fresh but also reduce the chances of developing any skin-related issues due to excessive sweating.

Eat Healthy and Light Food

There’s a good reason salads are so popular in warmer climates. They are easier to digest and won’t make you feel sluggish. During summertime, avoid oily foods at all costs. I know those are delicious, but you’ll feel a lot better if you stick to fruits and veggies. And, if you are not a salad person, then you can try our very own fermented rice with onion and chili.

Avoid Tea and Coffee

Yes, we all love Tea Breaks, but Caffeine intake can increase the body's core temperature. They constrict the blood vessels, which warms the blood and makes you feel hot and sweaty. Instead of tea and coffee, you can have Lemon Mint Juice; It's refreshing, healthy, and perfect for summer days.

Wear Loose Cotton Clothes

To stay cool and avoid excessive sweating, choose loose, light-coloured cotton clothes instead of tight-fitted and dark-coloured clothes. Tight clothes trap sweat and dark colours absorb more wavelengths of light, making you feel warmer. Wear loose cotton clothes that allow air to circulate freely around your body and absorb sweat to keep you feeling fresh and comfortable all day long.

I have compiled a list of practical and simple tips that can assist you in coping with the scorching heat of the summer season. These tips are easy to follow and can help you avoid heat-related illnesses and stay comfortable during hot days. Enjoy your Summer Days and always stay happy.
